Hacettepe Üniversitesi Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı’nı Prof.Server Ganiev’in keman sınıfından mezun olarak bitiren sanatçı, Sami Hatipoğlu ile teori, Alfred Mişurin ile orkestra şefliği çalıştı. Anadolu Üniversitesi tarafından gönderildiği Çaykovski Moskova Devlet Konservatuvarı’ndaki altı yıllık öğrenimi esnasında Rusya Devlet Sanatçıları Orkestra Şefi Prof.Leonid Nikolaev, Besteci Prof.Yuri Butsko ve Müzikolog Prof.Dr.Margarita Karatıgina sınıflarında öğrenim görerek Opera ve Senfoni Şefliği ile Müzikoloji bölümlerinde lisansüstü derecelerini aldı. Bu süreçte Eczacıbaşı Kültür ve Sanat Vakfı tarafından da desteklendi. 2004-2011 yılları arasında kuruluşunu gerçekleştirdiği Anadolu Üniversitesi Senfoni Orkestrası’nın Şefliğini ve Genel Müzik Yönetmenliğini yaptı. Verdiği konserler, gerçekleştirdiği projeler, yaptığı kayıtlar ve yeni repertuvar icraları ile olumlu eleştiriler alan Tüzün, ulusal nitelikli ödüllere layık görüldü. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Senfoni Orkestrası, Çaykovski Moskova Devlet Konservatuvarı Senfoni Orkestrası, Kraliyet Filarmoni Orkestrası, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Senfoni Orkestrası, Mersin Üniversitesi Akademik Oda Orkestrası, Anadolu Üniversitesi Senfoni Orkestrası, Bilkent Üniversitesi Senfoni Orkestrası ve Eskişehir Büyükşehir Belediyesi Senfoni Orkestrası ile yayınlanmış kayıtları bulunan Burak Tüzün Hacettepe Üniversitesi Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı’nda Profesör unvanı ile çalışmakta ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Senfoni Orkestrası Genel Müzik Yönetmenliği görevini yürütmektedir.

Graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory of Prof. Server Ganiev's violin class, Tüzün studied theory with Sami Hatipoğlu and conducting with Alfred Mishurin. Sent by Anadolu University, in the six years of education at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, he studied with the Russian State Artists, Symphony Maestro Prof. Leonid Nikolaev, Composer Prof. Yuri Butsko and Musicologist Prof. Margarita Karatigina, finishing his graduate studies in the Department of Opera and Symphony Conducting as well as in the Department of Musicology. In this process, he was supported also by the Eczacıbaşı Culture and Art Foundation. Between 2004-2011, he was the Founding Conductor and General Music Director of the Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra. Tüzün has been nationally awarded and recognized for his concerts, projects, records and new repertoire performances. The artist has albums recorded with Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Mersin University Academic Chamber Orchestra, Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra, Bilkent University Symphony Orchestra and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra. Currently, Tüzün works as a Professor at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and he is the General Music Director of the Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra.
