EXAM RULES
In accordance with Article 22 of the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation and Decision No. 06 taken at the Senate meeting of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University on March 21, 2014, No. 04:
- The student taking the exam is required to comply with the rules determined by the relevant department.
- The student is required to take the exam at the announced time and place, carry their student ID, and show it to the authorities upon request.
- Students who do not present their student ID will not be allowed to take the exam and will be considered as not attending the exam voluntarily.
- Bringing mobile phones, computers, and similar electronic devices to the exam is strictly prohibited. Students bringing such devices must hand them over to the exam invigilator. Students who fail to hand over these devices to the invigilators and are found to be carrying these devices during the exam will face disciplinary action.
- If necessary, the exam invigilators will document the behavior of students who violate the exam rules and expel them from the exam.
- Exams may also be held on Saturdays and Sundays if deemed necessary by the decision of the relevant Department Chair.
- Students who cheat, attempt to cheat, assist in cheating, or are found to have cheated after the exam will receive a zero (FF) for that exam. The student will also be subject to the relevant provisions of the Higher Education Institutions Student Discipline Regulation published in the Official Gazette on August 18, 2012.
- Students who allow someone else to take the exam in their place, take the exam for someone else, or disturb the general order during the exam will be reported, their exams will be canceled, and legal action will be taken against them.
- If a student takes an exam they are not eligible for, the grade will be canceled, even if it has been announced.
- For students with disabilities, necessary exam arrangements regarding time, space, materials, attendants, and differences arising from the nature of the disability will be made upon the student's request.
Objection to Exam Grades
In accordance with Article 28 of the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Associate Degree – Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation:
- Students may appeal the exam results within one week of the announcement to the Department Chair. For objections related to material errors, the Department Chair will ask the instructor for their opinion. If an error is found, it will be corrected, and the result will be re-announced. For other objections, a commission formed by the Faculty or Vocational School Board will review the exam papers, and the results will be announced and communicated to the student.
