Senem Zeynep Ercan
She completed her primary and secondary education in Bursa. She graduated from İAGSL in 1996 and from Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty, Music Teaching Department in 2000. Between 1992-2006, she continued her piano studies with Pianist-Composer Ali Darmar. She began her graduate studies at the ITU Dr. Erol Üçer Music Advanced Research Center in 2000, where she worked on her Master’s and Doctoral studies with State Artist Pianist Ayşegül Sarıca, and she received her Doctorate in 2011.
Between 2006-2007, she attended a second doctoral program at the University of Memphis on a scholarship, where she continued her studies with Pianist Sam Viviano and worked as a teaching assistant. She had the opportunity to study Alexander and Taubman techniques. After returning to Turkey, she worked as a part-time lecturer at ITU State Conservatory and Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. Additionally, she served as a pianist in the Bakırköy Municipality Theatre Orchestra. She performed in numerous solo and chamber music concerts and regularly performed with the ‘İstanbulied’ Lied Duo, which she formed with Ekin Bezirganoğlu in 2013. She worked as a pianist in studio recordings and premiere performances.
Since January 2021, she has been working as a Doctoral Lecturer at the State Conservatory of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, where she continues to teach piano courses. She is also performing concerts with Eda Delikçi, a violin artist, and Koray Ay, a horn artist, as part of the Troia Trio in the same institution.
