SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Purpose of the Orchestra:

The aim of the orchestra is to contribute to our university, the city of Çanakkale, and the region by performing national and universal music. In this regard, our orchestra:

• Organizes regular concerts both domestically and internationally.
• Through these concerts, it introduces university students, staff, and the people of Çanakkale to important works of national and universal choral music.
• Brings new and original works into our musical culture.
• Collaborates with national and international artists, ensembles, institutions, and organizations, performing concerts at selected and important festivals.

The orchestra is strengthened by the collaboration of artists from our faculty and distinguished musicians from leading music institutions across our country. The permanent conductor of the orchestra is the world-renowned violinist, Prof. Dr. Cihat AŞKIN.
