HISTORY

The proposal for the "Transformation of the State Conservatory into Music and Performing Arts" at our university was implemented following the decision of the university senate on 17.06.2021 (11/02), and the publication of the Presidential decree No. 7477 on 03.08.2023, resulting in the establishment of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.

MISSION

Our mission is to train individuals who are knowledgeable, equipped, cultured, and confident; to adopt a project-based, interdisciplinary research approach that focuses on practical scientific work; to establish sustainable relationships with stakeholders; and to combine knowledge, love, and respect with the rich history and culture of our country and region. The faculty aims to be a "quality-oriented, innovative, and entrepreneurial faculty."

The vision of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts is to become the leading faculty in the region, recognized nationally and internationally for its scientific research, education, and artistic activities. Graduates can work as artists and experts in institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in the cultural departments of provincial and municipal governments, as academicians in universities, and as teachers through certification programs.

SPORTS HALL

The Education Faculty Sports Hall covers a total area of 1700 m², with a 990 m² sports hall. It includes shower-changing rooms, referee rooms, administrative offices, and training rooms over two floors.

ÇOMÜ EDUCATION LIBRARY (Anafartalar Campus)

The Education Library, located at the Anafartalar Campus, houses nearly 30,000 printed publications related to education and relevant disciplines.
