INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION

HISTORY

The proposal to transform our university’s State Conservatory into the “Faculty of Music and Performing Arts” was approved by the university senate on June 17, 2021, with decision number 11/02. Upon the proposal, the faculty was officially established with the Presidential Decree No. 7477, which was published on August 3, 2023, marking the foundation of the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.

MISSION

The faculty aims to educate knowledgeable, well-equipped, cultured, and self-confident individuals in education and training. It embraces a practice-oriented, project-focused, and multidisciplinary research approach in scientific studies, ensuring sustainable relationships with stakeholders. It harmonizes knowledge, love, and respect with the rich historical and cultural

fabric of our country and region, establishing itself as a quality-focused, innovative, and entrepreneurial faculty.

With its young and dynamic academic community, liberal, innovative, and sustainable structure, and a quality-focused administrative approach that values institutional culture, the faculty aspires to become the leading Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in the region and a globally recognized scientific and artistic institution through its scientific research, education, and artistic and sports activities.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR GRADUATES

Our graduates can be employed as artists and specialists in units of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as in the cultural directorates of governorates and municipalities. They can also become academicians in universities or pursue teaching careers with pedagogical formation certification.
