EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be a higher education graduate and selected from among the faculty members employed at the school.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
Must have work experience at a level required by the position.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
- Must possess the general qualifications specified in Law No. 657 on Civil Servants and Law No. 2547 on Higher Education.
- Must have leadership skills, knowledge of management and administration, and decision-making and problem-solving abilities to carry out responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, official correspondence, and news writing.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
- Must be knowledgeable in management and organization, human resources management, and laws, regulations, and directives—particularly regarding personnel matters.
- Must be skilled in social relations, scientific and artistic organizations (e.g., conferences, symposiums, concerts, workshops, and seminars).
JOB DESCRIPTION
Vice Deans are appointed by the Dean from among the faculty members employed at the Faculty. They are appointed for a maximum of three years, and the Dean may replace them if necessary. When the Dean's tenure ends, the Vice Deans' tenure also ends.
The Vice Dean works to ensure the effective and efficient execution of all activities necessary for the realization of education and teaching in line with the mission and vision of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
According to Article 16 of Law No. 2547:
"The Dean selects up to two Vice Deans from among the faculty members employed at the Faculty to assist in carrying out duties."
Based on this regulation:
- Acts on behalf of the Dean when the Dean is unavailable.
- Chairs Faculty Councils, implements decisions, and ensures coordination among faculty units.
- Carries out other tasks assigned by the Dean and all duties formally communicated.
AUTHORITIES
- Has the authority to execute all the duties and responsibilities stated above.
- Can utilize necessary resources and equipment to complete tasks.
- When formally assigned, has the authority to represent the university.
- Holds signatory authority.
- When formally assigned, has budget expenditure authority.
- Has the authority to assign tasks, direct subordinates, supervise tasks, request reports, and issue corrections and warnings.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Vice Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts is responsible for carrying out all duties in accordance with the law and university regulations and is directly accountable to the Director of the State Conservatory.
