2021: Cihat Aşkın
Cihat Aşkın, a renowned artist from Çanakkale, is an international representative of the Turkish Violin School, representing our country’s culture and art worldwide. He has received international awards and is known for his concerts and recitals all over the world. Starting from our own culture, he has become a window to the world, which undoubtedly places him in a unique position in this field. As part of the 1st Anniversary events of the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University State Conservatory, Cihat Aşkın was presented with the "Çanakkale’s Value Contributors in Culture, Art, and Music" award on June 16, 2021, at the İçdaş Congress Center.
2022: Yılmaz Küçüköncü
On June 13, 2022, during the second anniversary celebrations of our conservatory, the founder and retired faculty member Yılmaz Küçüköncü was awarded the "Çanakkale’s Value Contributors in Culture and Art" award. The event, hosted by Erol Küçükaksoy, saw the award being presented to Yılmaz Küçüköncü by our director Uğur Türkmen.
2023: Teoman Alpay
On May 26, 2023, our conservatory celebrated its third anniversary at Nedime Hanım Mansion. The "Çanakkale’s Value Contributors in Culture and Art" award, given for the third time this year, was presented to the wife of Teoman Alpay, a popular music composer from Çanakkale, Ruhsar Renda Alpay.
2024: Arif Sami Toker
Composer and vocalist Arif Sami Toker was born on April 4, 1926, in Gelibolu, Çanakkale. He studied under prominent figures in Turkish music such as Sadettin Arel, Suphi Ezgi, Sadettin Kaynak, and Lemi Atlı. He worked as a soloist, chorus member, and music broadcast director for Ankara and Istanbul radio stations. Arif Sami Toker, who passed away at the age of 71, is the composer of well-known songs such as "Talihin Elinde Oyuncak Oldum," "Ağlasam Faydasız Yok," and "Erişti Nev Bahar Eyyamı Açıldı Gülügülşen."
